What is paint correction?
Paint correction is the process of using microscopic abrasives to remove clear coat. Some shops will use this process to create a completely flat surface to remove scratches. This is extremely dangerous, because your clear coat is THIN. For context, a sheet of textbook paper is 4 mils thick. (0.004 inches) Today's average clear coat varies between 2.5 and 4.5 mils.
